Date: 2026-06-30

Invest Seoul hosted Seoul Forward, an investment briefing in San Diego this June to introduce Seoul’s biotech ecosystem and support programs to global biotech companies.

As part of the program, Invest Seoul co-hosted the Seoul Bio Open Innovation Roundtable with Celltrion, where global biotech companies explored opportunities to establish joint research and development (R&D) partnerships. Invest Seoul also became the first Korean local government or related organization to deliver an investment relations (IR) presentation at BIO USA, the world’s largest biotechnology and pharmaceutical conference, introducing Seoul’s biotech ecosystem and foreign investment support programs to global biotech companies and investors.

In addition, Invest Seoul co-hosted the Invest Seoul BIO Bridge session with the Korea Exchange (KRX), highlighting pathways for global biotech companies to enter the Seoul market through Korea’s technology-special listing program. The team also explored new collaboration opportunities through networking events attended by approximately 1,200 representatives from global pharmaceutical companies, investors, and biotech organizations. Furthermore, Invest Seoul held one-on-one meetings with biotech companies considering expansion into Seoul, listening to their business needs and discussing tailored support measures covering R&D, clinical trials, investment, and partner matching.

Invest Seoul will continue to strengthen cooperation with the global biotech companies engaged through Seoul Forward and expand its support efforts to help Seoul grow into a global hub for biotech innovation.
